Starbucks will open a new location this fall in the former location of Slim Chickens, 9850 Louetta Road, Houston, a Starbucks spokesperson confirmed Aug. 30. The Seattle-based coffee shop serves both hot and iced coffee, tea and espresso-based beverages including mochas, frappuccinos, macchiatos and lattes. The new location will employ about 20 partners, according to a Starbucks spokesperson. www.starbucks.com
