Starting Dec. 1, Harris County Precinct 3 cleanup crews will be dispatched in northwest Harris County neighborhoods impacted by two tornadoes that damaged the area Nov. 24.
“At this time, crews are working diligently to remove roadside storm debris that was left by the recent tornado,” a Precinct 3 Nov. 25 announcement reads. “Please follow the debris separation guidelines to ensure safe and efficient pick-up.”

What residents should know
Residents can report their debris by calling 713-274-3100 or submitting a report at pct3.com/service-request, according to officials.
Residents must bring proof of residency while dropping off vegetative, construction and demolition debris free of charge, according to the announcement.
Temporary debris drop-off sites have been set up by Precinct 3 officials at the following locations:

How we got here
A series of severe storms and two confirmed tornadoes landed in northwest Harris County on Nov. 24, leaving several neighborhoods with sustained damage. According to the National Weather Service, several tornado watches and warnings were issued across the region, which impacted the Jersey Village, Spring and Klein areas.
The weather service officially rated the two tornadoes that moved across the area as an EF-1 and an EF-2, with wind speeds of 105 mph and 115 mph, respectively. The EF-1 tornadoes moved through the Riata Ranch subdivision along Barker Cypress Road in the Cypress-Fairbanks area. The EF-2 tornado moved through the Klein and Spring area between Spring Cypress Road and Louetta Road, according to weather service maps.
