Several organizations are hosting free Thanksgiving dinners, distributing free food and delivering free meals in the Greater Houston area. As Thanksgiving approaches, volunteers are being called to serve to help ensure everyone gets a warm meal.

Evergreen Baptist Church

Evergreen Baptist Church invites the community to a Thanksgiving potluck. The main course will be provided, and attendees are invited to bring a side dish or dessert.Thanksgiving Loaves and Fishes

Prince of Peace is donating Thanksgiving meals to 1,500 people in four local shelters and at Resurrection Catholic Church. Volunteers are needed to bring nonperishable foods through Nov. 16 and to transport food to shelters Nov. 22.
