Barrel Park open house


Barrel Park will host an open house to celebrate event planners featuring food, beer and wine, and prize giveaways. The local venue can host a variety of indoor and outdoor events, including fundraisers, festivals and parties, and offers catering from its two on-site kitchens. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held with the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce at 4 p.m.Charity golf tournament

Molly’s Pub will host its 13th annual Charity Golf Tournament benefiting the Texas Prader-Willi Association, which supports Texas families affected with Prader-Willi Syndrome by providing resources, advocacy and education. PWS is a nonhereditary genetic disorder impacting about 1 in 15,000 individuals, and it can cause slow metabolism, speech and developmental delays, weak muscle tone and learning disabilities, according to the association. Proceeds from the golf tournament will help send individuals with PWS to an annual PWS-specific camp. In addition to a day of golf at the Cypresswood Golf Club, the event will include a box lunch and beverages followed by awards, a barbecue dinner, auction and raffle at Olde City Pub & Grill.
