The election will decide two at-large positions on the ESD 11 board held by Commissioners Kevin Brost and Fred Grundmeyer. Grundmeyer is not seeking re-election.
In the order they will appear on the ballot, candidates for ESD 11’s May 7 election include Joel Ocasio, Kevin Brost, Christopher David, Dorothy Dalton and Zach Dunlap. The two candidates who receive the most votes will be elected to the two at-large positions. To view Q&A's with each of the candidates, click here.
Because ESD 11 commissioners previously voted to opt out of running a joint election with Harris County, the polling places available to residents during early voting and on election day will differ from Harris County's polling sites.
Voters can cast a ballot at any of the following locations for early voting, which will be held from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. April 25-29 and from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. April 30 and May 2-3:
