Klein ISD’s 2024-25 school year began Aug. 14 with a pair of new principals leading two of the district’s campuses.

Trustees welcomed Lorene Wright as the new principal of Ehrhardt Elementary School and Shukella Price as the new principal of Greenwood Forest Elementary School during the board’s Aug. 12 meeting.

Wright most recently served as the assistant principal and dean of instruction at Ehrhardt. Price, a former teacher at Klein Collins High School, is returning to KISD after most recently serving as a principal with Willis ISD.

During the meeting, Wright said she is excited to serve in her new role at Ehrhardt.

“I’m honored to continue serving the Ehrhardt Elementary community as principal and am excited to continue building upon our strong foundation of excellence at this wonderful school,” Wright said.

Price noted she was happy to be returning to KISD.

“Klein is home,” Price said. “I’m passionate about putting students at the center of our work and meeting the unique needs of every learner. I am committed to building strong relationships among students, teachers, staff members and parents, and I am so excited to begin partnering with all of our Greenwood Forest community.”
