The first renderings of Spring ISD’s $141 million Education, Performance and Instruction Center—a 2022 bond project—have been released.

The EPIC is being designed by HKS Architects, according to a March 28 news release from the district. Groundbreaking on the EPIC is slated for winter 2025, and construction is expected to finish in spring 2027.

According to the release, EPIC will:
  • Hold educational and performing arts events and showcases
  • Serve as a venue for high school graduations
  • Be utilized as a reunification center in emergencies
  • Feature an arena, a performance hall, a recital and academic hall, and multipurpose spaces
The center will lie south of the Randall Reed Center at Planet Ford Stadium, which is located at 23802 Cypresswood Drive, Spring.

The EPIC was approved by voters in November 2022 under Proposition B of SISD’s $850 million bond.

On March 7, SISD officials announced the location of another big bond project, Spring High School’s revamp, which is being designed.
