The Klein ISD class of 2020 will be honored and certified in a virtual Senior Celebration Day set to take place on May 30 beginning at 8 a.m. via Facebook Live.

According to KISD Superintendent Jenny McGown, the event will be in addition to in-person graduation ceremonies scheduled for Aug. 1 at NRG Stadium.

“The class of 2020 has experienced a year unlike any other, and I’m so proud of their resilient spirit,” McGown said in a statement. “I’m honored to share this exciting day of celebration with our graduating seniors and their families.”

Following a message from McGown at 8 a.m. and note to future members of the military at 8:30 a.m., KISD's graduating seniors will be honored at ceremonies for each high school. Individual celebrations will take place as follows:

  • Klein High School: 9 a.m.

  • Klein Forest High School: 11:45 a.m.

  • Klein Cain High School: 2:30 p.m.

  • Klein Oak High School: 4:45 p.m.

  • Klein Collins High School: 7:30 p.m.
