What's happening
Echo Lake marks Fein's fourth residential development at City Place. The 326-unit project will be a luxury, garden-style property comprising one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment homes, ranging in size from 556-1,824 square feet. Additionally, 40% of Echo Lake will be made up of one- to three-bedroom townhomes with attached garages, according to the news release.
“We look forward to commencing construction on our fourth multifamily community in City Place, where the work-live-play and nature-focused lifestyle created by CDC Houston has proven to be an optimal environment for our developments and our residents,” Fein's Vice President of Development Rebecca Luks said in the news release. "Echo Lake will be tailored to the area with a value rental price point accommodating the range of corporate employees living in and around City Place.”
Also of note
Echo Lake will be across from a Bass Pro Shops superstore that opened in 2024. The luxury community is expected to earn a National Green Building Standard Silver designation and will be near hiking and biking trails, as well as The Canopy, a 332-unit property completed in early 2021.

Echo Lake is expected to open its first set of units in the second quarter of 2026, with an estimated completion date in the second quarter of 2027, according to the news release.
