La Michoacana officials said they have plans to open a new location on FM 1960 in mid-December. Per a business Instagram post the grand opening will take place on Dec. 14.

During the grand opening event, La Michoacana Meat Market will have raffles, gift baskets, free food and $25 gift cards for the first 100 people.

Per the company website, La Michoacana Meat Market was founded in 1986 by a Mexican immigrant family to serve Hispanics and the entire community by offering fresh produce, marinated meats and home-style meals.

The meat market has 140 locations across Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio as well as in smaller cities such as in Corpus Christi, Lufkin, Bryan, and the Rio Grande Valley.
