Storyteller's Thread, a boutique needlework shop offering premium supplies for needlepoint, hand embroidery and cross stitching-enthusiasts is coming to Old Town Spring.

What they offer

The fiber arts store specializes in hand-painted canvases and a curated selection of specialty threads, catering to both seasoned stitchers and creative beginners.

Meet the owner

Store owner Jamie Lewis told Community Impact in an email that her time as a fine artist intuitively taught her not only how to design, but it also taught her how to encourage others when it comes to fostering their own creativity.

"What started as a desire to create original needlepoint canvases for the tabletop role-playing community has blossomed into something much larger—a space where people can enjoy in-person, collaborative creativity," Lewis said.

Going forward

A grand opening event will be held Sept. 27, Lewis said, but the official public opening for the store is scheduled for Oct. 1. By October, Lewis said her website will also go live.

"While I’m excited to offer my original canvas designs, the heart of our inventory will feature works from nationally and internationally renowned artists along with specialty threads from around the world," Lewis said.
