The details
Founded in 2004 under the guidance of the Hurtado family, Pentecostals of Cypress Creek began with a congregation of six adults and nine children.
Per a Feb.12 press release, the church has grown to approximately 580 people and prioritizes missions, providing financial support to pastoral families abroad and contributing to the construction of new churches.
The church is led by pastor Andrés Hurtado, who is serving his second term as the national president of the Iglesia Pentecostal.

According to the release, the Pentecostals of Cypress Creek have made a significant impact on the local Hispanic community through community engagement for adults and youth activities.
In addition, the church contributed to disaster relief during Hurricane Katrina and provided food relief during Hurricanes Rita and Harvey. More recently, church leaders stepped in to help 30 families displaced by an apartment fire.
The church holds Friday prayer services at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday services at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
