Walmart in Spring will be getting a facelift with construction slated to begin in the spring, a company spokesperson confirmed via email Nov. 27. Walmart offers clothing, home goods, electronics, groceries and more, with 10,500 locations worldwide and 2.1 million employees, according to its website.
The detailsAccording to a
Nov. 12 filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the $2.5 million renovation will include:
- Updating the restrooms, break room and pharmacy
- Updating grocery equipment and refrigerated cases
- Adding a mother’s room
- Replacing exterior signage
The remodel will be part of Walmart’s efforts to update stores to its “store of the future” design, according to the email. The location will remain open during the remodel, and work will happen after hours.
