Renovations are underway for the Forest Oaks Park playground in Spring, according to a Feb. 13 email with a representative for Harris County Water Control and Improvement District No. 110. Work on the park began Feb. 7, as planned, and the soft opening is slated for March 8, if there are no weather delays.

The park renovations will begin with the demolition of the current structures, followed by the installation of a new drainage system. New playground equipment will be added and will include a four-bay swing set and two separate play units with activity features designed for 2- to 5-year-olds and 5- to 12-year-olds.

WCID 110 will be holding an Easter Egg hunt at Forest Oaks Park the day the playground is scheduled to celebrate its grand opening. The event is free for district residents and their guests, according to the district’s website.
