After being stopped for a drainage incident, work has restarted on Hughes Ranch Road. The project will convert the road from a two- to a four-lane road with a median and curbs from Smith Ranch Road to Cullen Boulevard. The project broke ground in March 2019 and is expected to wrap up in 2021. The expansion will cost $20.5 million and is funded by the city of Pearland.

The Pearland Parkway traffic circle is set to go to bid in late spring. It was originally supposed to go to bid in January. The traffic circle will replace the roundabout on Pearland Parkway. The project is expected to wrap up in March 2022. The project, which was funded by the city of Pearland 2019 bond, will cost $3.27 million.
