The candidate filing deadline for the city elections in May was Friday, Feb. 16. Pearland has two council positions up for election, and Friendswood has four, including a special election. The filing deadline for the special election is March 5.

Here are the candidates that have filed as of Friday, Feb. 16. Incumbents are marked with an asterisk.
