Lowens Seafood opened in Friendswood on Nov. 20 at 2111 W. Parkwood Ave., Ste. 115, next to Center Court Pizza in the Fountains Commercial Center.

The restaurant offers both seafood and Cajun-inspired dishes. Popular dishes include boudin balls and Cajun-style deviled eggs, which come topped with the customer’s choice of blackened shrimp or fried oysters. The business also sells etouffee, gumbo, red beans and rice and a variety of desserts, including a brownie topped with ice cream.

The business is locally owned. Owner Cody Miller owns Center Court Pizza next door and opened Lowen’s Seafood when he noticed Friendswood did not have any restaurants with the same concept. The restaurant is in the same space of the former Growler USA pub.

The restaurant is open Tue.-Thu. 5-10 p.m., Fri.-Sat. 11 a.m.-11 p.m. and Sun. 11 a.m.-10 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Monday. 832-569-2765. www.facebook.com/ Lowens-Seafood-115622593160997
