According to the release, the appointments city officials made include:
- Chad Dumont to personnel director
- Rosa Donaire to finance director
- Police Chief Keith Traylor to director of public safety
Donaire joined the city as the finance manager less than a year ago but has nearly 30 years of experience in the accounting industry, including half of that time in government accounting, according to the release.
Traylor has worked as the police chief for more than a decade and has more than 40 years of experience in public safety, according to the release.
A deeper dive
As the city has grown in recent years, each person played a pivotal role in helping the city keep up, according to the release.
Since Dumont joined the city in 2021, the city’s organization has more than doubled, according to the release. Donaire played a role in the city’s most recent budget and serves on a couple of boards.
Under Traylor's leadership, the police department has grown from 12 officers to 34 as well as more than doubled its team of dispatchers, and added a records clerk and administrative assistance.
What else?
The promotions came just a couple weeks after the city appointed Dan Johnson as the city manager.
