Looking for things to do in Pearland and Friendswood throughout June and July? From country concerts to bug exhibits, here are five events to attend this summer. This list is not comprehensive.

Peach Truck Tour

Pick up a juicy summer snack at Pearland Town Center, where the touring Peach Truck stops to sell pre-ordered 25-pound boxes of hand-selected peaches and 10-ounce bags of pecans.Concerts in the Park

H-E-B presents a series of live music shows at Independence Park every Friday night in June. Attendees can hear country, classic rock and 80’s hits while shopping with local food vendors. Kids can also play at the park’s playground. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and picnic baskets to enjoy the shows.Celebration of Freedom

Pearland residents are invited to Independence Park for a Fourth of July party. It features live music, a presentation of colors, food trucks, free giveaways, inflatables, games and activities for families and an 18-minute fireworks show. Most event games require a $5 wristband to participate but entry is free.“The Grinch”


The city of Friendswood hosts its Movies in the Park series during July and August at Stevenson Park Gazebo. The year’s series kicks off its first installment with a showing of the 2018 animated comedy, “The Grinch.”

Bugs on Wheels

The Houston Museum of Natural Science stops at Brazoria County’s West Pearland Library to showcase and educate school-aged children on a variety of bugs—from insects to arachnids. Sessions start every 30 minutes and have a limit of 30 attendees per session.
