Candidate Jeffrey Barry is making the drive east down Broadway Street from the Pearland ISD administration building to Pearland City Hall following the May election.

Barry, who spent the previous six years on the PISD board of trustees, was victorious May 7, defeating opponent Orlando Bruzual in the race for Pearland City Council Position 6.

“I am honored to serve as Pearland City Council member for Position 6,” Barry said in a statement. “I have appreciated the opportunity to serve Pearland on our school board where I initiated the first ever capital improvement program. It is a privilege to continue serving our great city on City Council. We have a lot of promise ahead of us in Pearland, and I am excited to be a part of it.”

Barry campaigned on a platform that focused on building and maintaining better drainage infrastructure in Pearland, improving mobility, strengthening the city's police and fire departments, and revenue accountability, he previously told Community Impact Newspaper.
