The Gripper Kitchen is looking at a February or March opening at 9517 Broadway St., Ste. 103, Pearland, after construction is expected to complete in January.
Local owner Markita Wright and her husband are partnering with the Detroit-based chef that created the original “gripper sandwich” concept, an oversized chicken sandwich, in order to bring the first physical location to Pearland.
According to the restaurant’s Facebook page, it will sell the signature high-stacked chicken sandwiches as well as tacos, breakfast sandwiches, pitas and more.
