Daily COVID-19 case counts in Brazoria County have fluctuated over the past week: The smallest number of reported active cases in a day was 43, and the largest was 113. On Nov. 11, daily reported cases in Brazoria County reached 104, the first time case counts surpassed 100 cases since Sept. 25.
The number of confirmed and suspected COVID-19 patients in general use beds in Brazoria County has climbed slowly and marginally, according to data from the SouthEast Texas Regional Advisory Council, or SETRAC. From Nov. 10-16, suspected and confirmed COVID-19 patients took up an average of 23.5 beds. From Nov. 3-9, suspected and confirmed COVID-19 patients took up an average of 19.5 beds.
Meanwhile, the number of confirmed and suspected COVID-19 patients in ICU beds has fluctuated and started to decrease, according to data from SETRAC. From Nov. 10-16, the number of suspected and confirmed COVID-19 patients in the ICU ranged from nine to 19. The number fell to six as of Nov. 17.
Pearland’s case count mimicked the county’s Nov. 10-16. Pearland has 320 of the county’s 1,113 active cases. The majority of the county’s cases and of Pearland’s cases are in the 30-39 age bracket.
