Here are six restaurants that opened in Pearland and Friendswood in September and October.

The Chicken Salad Chick opened its newest chain location at 2110 Pearland Parkway, Ste. 108, Pearland. The restaurant, which opened Oct. 21, serves over a dozen types of chicken salad, along with salads, soups, sandwiches and desserts. This is the ninth Chicken Salad Chick to open in the Greater Houston area. 832-246-7691.

Hubcap Grill celebrated its soft opening Oct. 7 at 5627 Broadway St., Pearland, where the Big Humphrey’s was formerly located. Once the restaurant hires more staff, officials said they hope to have a grand opening. Hubcap Grill serves burgers with fresh products. Popular flavors include the Philly cheesesteak burger and the "Hubcap decker" burger, which is a double-meat cheeseburger. 832-770-9230.

The Teahouse Tapioca and Tea opened in the Center at Pearland Parkway in early October. Located at 2470 Pearland Parkway, Ste. 120, Pearland, the business sells boba tea and snacks, including popcorn chicken, French fries and fresh fruit. 281-372-6750.

Rustika Cafe and Bakery opened at 1302 S. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, on Sept. 28. The family-owned bakery offers several sweets, including cafes, pastries and empanadas, as well as soups and espresso. The bakery has several other Houston locations, including in West University, downtown, League City and Sugar Land. Paris Banh Mi opened at 9811 Broadway St., Ste. 119, Pearland, in September. The business is known for its bubble tea and French baguettes, which are made into one of the restaurant’s several types of banh mi, or Vietnamese sandwich. The restaurant also sells desserts. 281-406-8145

Magnolia Cajun Comfort opened in Pearland on Sept. 1. Located at 1807 Broadway St., Pearland, the restaurant serves Cajun and comfort food and is also known for its desserts. The business serves classic Cajun food as well as Cajun-inspired dishes, such as crawfish pies and Boudin grilled cheese. The restaurant is co-owned by Chef Steve Haug and Desiree Armond. 346-229-4384
