For the first time, Friendswood High School cheerleaders have been selected to perform in the upcoming Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
The five students who will be performing Nov. 25 are seniors Guliana Devora, Brooke Eubanks, Erica Howard and Kelli Mulloy as well as freshman Jamie Paulder, according to a Nov. 17 news release from Friendswood ISD.
The high school had to send in an audition tape for the students to be considered, according to parent liaison Samantha Eubanks. The five students were originally selected to perform in 2020 but had to instead be rolled over into 2021, per the news release.
They are among 250 other cheerleaders selected to participate. The performance is scheduled for Nov. 25 at 9 a.m. and is a part of Spirit of America Productions, a provider of dancers and cheerleaders for the parade.
