Planet Fitness High School Summer Pass

High school students ages 14-18 can workout out for free at Planet Fitness as part of their summer pass program. Teens can visit the Planet Fitness website to register for the program, with those younger than 18 needing a guardian to register.
Summer Movie Clubhouse

The Summer Movie Clubhouse is a 10-week-long showing of children’s movies at a reduced price. Tickets start at $1.75. Some of the movies include Shrek 2, Despicable Me 4 and Kung Fu Panda 4, and are available at participating Cinemark locations.
Art Lab: Stories + Silhouettes


Guests will explore the history of silhouette portraiture while creating a personalized pocket-sized silhouette inspired by Letitia Huckaby’s “A Living Requiem."
Music Bingo Sundays

Customers can test their music knowledge at Ale & Ivy every Sunday at noon.
City Centre Events

City Centre is hosting multiple free events during June, including live music and playtime for children.
City Place Events

City Place has 22 free events scheduled for guests to attend throughout the summer. Events include a puppet show, yoga, video games, and concerts, among other activities.
Mini Summer Camp
Trees for Houston is hosting an education mini-camp for children. There are three sessions on three different days that parents can sign their children up for.

Precinct 3 Children’s Summer Reading


Free read-alongs for children will be available at participating Harris County Branch libraries throughout the summer. Some of the libraries include the Stratford Branch Library, Kingwood Branch Library and Atascocita Branch Library.
Houston Symphony performance

The Houston Symphony is hosting free shows at various venues across Houston. Some of the shows include The Goonies: Film with Live Orchestra at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, and Romeo and Juliet + Shostakovich 5 at Miller Outdoor Theatre.
Line Dancing Lessons

Houston residents can attend free line dancing lessons at Euphoria Lounge every Thursday this summer.
Show and Shine

Garage Ultimate of Friendswood is hosting weekly car shows through the end of June. All makes and models are welcome, but spots are limited to 300 cars.
Concerts in the park


Pearland residents can enjoy free concerts at Independence Park with multiple food vendors in attendance.
Humble Bacon Festival

The Humble Civil Center Arena is home to the Bacon Festival this summer. The event will feature a bacon-eating contest, a bacon costume contest, a bacon cookoff and other bacon-related activities.
In the Weeds Walking Tour

The Buffalo Bayou Partnership is celebrating native plants and animals found along Buffalo Bayou. While walking around Lost Lake, just below Flora Restaurant, participants will learn about the native plants and the insects that pollinate them. Admission is free for those 12 and younger.
Weci | Koninut

Weci | Koninut is an immersive outdoor installation at Avenida Houston that blends indigenous storytelling, visual art and sensory technology. There are six dreamcatchers for visitors to walk through.
“Another Ding Dang Tamarie Show”


Houston native Tamarie Cooper kicks off her summer-long production of “Another Ding Dang Tamarie Show” at the Midtown Arts and Theater Center Houston on June 26. There are 23 scheduled showings. Tickets are pay-what-you-can with a $10 minimum.
Freedom Over Texas

This Fourth of July celebration at Eleanor Tinsley Park will feature a fireworks display, live music and activities for all. The event is headlined by Lee Brice and guest artist Ashley McBryde.
Conroe Concert Series

Conroe residents can attend a series of free concerts at Heritage Place. The two shows consist of an Eagles tribute and 1980s & 1990s rock hits from Timeless HTX Band.
Tomball Railroad Tour

The Tomball Railroad Depot offers free tours of its museum on Saturdays and weekdays by appointment. Guests can see train memorabilia, original artwork, antiques and two model railroads.
Houston Pickle Festival


Southern Food Festivals is hosting this indoor festival full of pickle-based activities. Participants can expect pickle-flavored food and drinks, a DJ and a pickle toss contest, among other activities. Guests can get free and reduced tickets with the early bird discount while supplies last.
Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts

The Pearl Museum offers free admission to its exhibits. It is currently housing “The Realm of Smaller Things: A Storybook Adventure by Kent Knowles” exhibit and the “Art Unleashed: Creativity You Can FEEL!”
Commissioner Court Movie Night

Harris County Precinct 4 is hosting a free showing of Big Hero 6 at the Richard & Meg Weekley Community Center. There will be pizza, crafts, popcorn and activities for all ages.
All-Star Car Show

Daikin Park, in partnership with Coffee and Cars, is hosting the first car show inside a Major League Baseball stadium. The cars on display include a variety of American muscle cars and hypercars, among others.
