What motivated you to run for the board of trustees?
I ran to serve. As a husband, father, and community member, I believe strong schools strengthen families, community and our future. In hospitality, you learn that service and relationships matter, that mindset guides my leadership. I serve with a servant’s heart, grounded in faith, teamwork and stewardship.
If elected, what would be your top priorities for the district over the next three years?
My priorities include ensuring a smooth transition as we hire and welcome a new superintendent, sustaining strong academic progress, investing in exceptional staff, maintaining safe schools and protecting financial stability. Alvin ISD has experienced significant enrollment growth, prompting new schools and expansions. How would you prioritize facility planning to accommodate this growth?
Alvin ISD has been proactive in planning for growth, delivering new campuses responsibly and often under budget. That foundation matters. We must continue using enrollment data, long-range planning and community input to build where growth is occurring, ensuring students have great learning environments while remaining fiscally responsible.
How would you balance fiscal responsibility with the need to expand programs, staff and facilities amid enrollment growth?
With nearly two-thirds of Texas districts projecting deficits, fiscal discipline matters more than ever. Alvin ISD remains stable because of conservative budgeting, strategic planning and accountability. We must prioritize classrooms first, evaluate programs carefully and expand responsibly, ensuring growth never compromises our financial integrity.

The district’s transfer policy [and] the differences in processes and curriculum among different elementary school campuses.
If elected, what will be your top priorities for the district over the next three years?
Implementing consistent policies across all campuses to ensure that every student has equal access to the same resources available to them.
Alvin ISD has experienced significant enrollment growth, prompting new schools and expansions. How would you prioritize facility planning to accommodate this growth?
The first priority is planning for increased enrollment at the elementary level. The elementary level has consistently had the highest level of growth. The planning process should also involve minimizing disruption to students who would need to transfer to newer campuses.
How would you balance fiscal responsibility with the need to expand programs, staff and facilities amid enrollment growth?
Staff, then facilities are the top priorities. Programs are currently in place and will not need expansion until a viable population is determined to support funding expansion.
