What you need to know
The district is allowing 30 community members for the program, including residents, parents, grandparents, district staff, business leaders and elected officials, according to district documents.
The goal is to “engage families, community leaders, and stakeholders in learning about Texas public education and advocating for policies that support our students, teachers and schools,” according to district documents.
The details
The program will run from September through March 2026 with four learning sessions and other advocacy opportunities, district documents note.
Applicants must be available to attend the following session dates, which all run from 6-7 p.m.:
