Alvin ISD’s board of trustees approved a new principal for Glenn York Elementary at its July 28 meeting.

Constance White, Pomona Elementary’s former assistant principal, will take over as principal at Glenn York Elementary starting in the 2025-26 school year.

The gist

White has 18 years of experience in education, including eight years in the classroom as an elementary teacher and nine years in administration, according to her employee biography from the district.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Lamar University, according to the district.

“My administrator and teaching career has been geared toward the achievement of elementary school children,” her district biography reads. “I have a strong passion to educate young minds and help them grow into well-rounded, responsible and successful individuals.”

White will be replacing Donielle Walters, who served as Glenn York Elementary’s principal during the 2024-25 school year, according to district documents.
