Pearland ISD’s board of trustees approved at its May 13 meeting nearly $4 million for priority projects within the capital renewal plan, or CRP.

Trustees also approved nearly $450,000 in additional personnel for the 2025-26 school year.

The $4 million will come from the district’s capital renewal fund, which has $5.7 million reserved for CRP projects, district documents note.

These priority projects include transportation building improvements, adding more maintenance trucks, 71- and 54- passenger vehicles, 5-ton heating, ventilation and air conditioning units, and band and fine arts improvements for both Pearland and Dawson high schools.


The district is planning to transfer 50% of any yearly surplus to the CRP fund, district documents note.
What else?

The $450,000, which will be paid for through the district’s general fund, will fund eight additional positions, including a teacher services coordinator, admission, review and dismissal, or ARD, facilitator, bilingual diagnostician and bus monitors, among other positions.
