The Richmond Police Department has added its local crime data to crimemapping.com, an online, interactive community crime-mapping program. The department said in a statement the data was added to the online site to increase transparency and give residents direct access to crime reports in the area. Website users search by city or ZIP code, then view an area map that pinpoints criminal activity.
