The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for southeast Texas in effect from 3 a.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday.
It is possible that it may be upgraded to a Winter Storm Watch or Warning later today if accumulation and/or the hazard risk increases.
The chances of rain will increase overnight with rain switching over to a wintry mix before sunrise.
Temperatures on Tuesday morning will start off in the 40s and drop quickly into the 30s once the cold front moves through. Expect cold and windy conditions Tuesday afternoon with the potential of icy bridges and overpasses overnight.
