Early voting results for the Nov. 4 election show challengers David Mullane and Ricky Warwick have taken early leads in their respective races for seats on Roman Forest City Council.

Three council positions are up for grabs during the Nov. 4 election, including Position 2, Position 4 and mayor. However, Mayor Chris Parr will retain his position after running unopposed.
In the race for Position 2, Mullane has taken an early lead with 126 votes, while Linda Stewart and incumbent Chris Ellis have taken in 105 and 34 votes, respectively, early voting results show. For Position 4, Warwick is leading incumbent Greg Partin by a margin of 123 to 116 votes, respectively, according to early voting tallies.

The Roman Forest City Council is made up of five council members and a mayor, according to the city’s website. Both council members and the mayor serve staggered, two-year terms.
According to the city’s website, prospective City Council members need to have lived in Texas for at least one year and in Roman Forest for at least six months before filing to run. Mayoral candidates are required to have lived in Roman Forest for at least one year prior to filing.
