Two New Caney ISD campuses—one high school and one elementary school—will be led by former assistant principals after their promotions were finalized March 16.

Brittany Horton and Traci Towslee were named the new principals of West Fork High School and Bens Branch Elementary School, respectively. NCISD trustees approved the hirings during their March 16 regular board meeting.
Horton’s previous title was assistant principal at Keefer Crossing Middle School, according to the school’s website. She has worked at NCISD for four years and has 14 years of experience in education.
Towslee most recently held the position of assistant principal for prekindergarten, first, third and fifth grades at Bens Branch Elementary School, according to the school’s website. She worked for three years at the campus and has 16 years of education experience.
Sorting out the details
Horton is replacing Bridgett Heine, who has been the principal of West Fork High School since the school opened in August 2022, according to the school’s website. The school's first class of seniors will graduate this spring.
Towslee is stepping into the principal role previously held by Ruth Anderson, according to the school’s website.
