Two-minute impact
Rodree Carlile—the former principal at Kings Manor Elementary—assumed the role of head of school at Highlands Elementary School on Jan. 6, according to a district news release. Carlile has 14 years of experience in education and served in his previous position since 2022.
“Becoming the principal of Highlands Elementary School is both an honor and a thrilling opportunity,” Carlile said in a statement. “Opening a brand new campus is a unique challenge, and I’m excited to shape its culture, vision and traditions from day one.”
Career history
According to the release, Carlile’s qualifications include:
- Positions at Cy-Fair ISD, Crosby ISD and NCISD, including agricultural science teacher, student support program supervisor, elementary assistant principal, middle school assistant principal and elementary school principal
- A bachelor’s in agricultural science from Sam Houston State University
- A master of education degree in educational administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce
Highlands Elementary will open for the 2025-26 school year as a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Primary Year Program, as previously reported by Community Impact.
