A Nepali and Soul Food fusion cuisine restaurant, called Nepali Soul, is now open at The Food Zone-Grand Texas, the owner confirmed June 5.

The restaurant will be a blend of the owner’s Nepali heritage and his wife’s southern heritage, according to the business’s website. The menu will include:
  • Chicken, veggie, lamb and fish masalas, which are stir-fried with spices
  • Oxtail over fries
  • Shrimp Pakora Bites—spiced fried shrimp and onion
  • Mango Lassi—a yogurt-based blended drink
  • Gulab Jamun—fried milk dough served with rose syrup
Nepali Soul also offers Halal certified food and vegetarian and vegan options, according to the owner.

The Food Zone-Grand Texas is home to a variety of restaurants that operate out of repurpose shipping containers.
