The Highlands added a new amenity center exclusively for residents age 55 and older in early December. The Hideaway is a 6,500-square-foot amenity center designed for active adults residing in the master-planned community's 55-and-up section, Fairway Pines.Relocations
The Pop Stop, a dirty soda and coffee shop, has opened at a new location in Roman Forest. The business offers specialty coffee drinks, dirty sodas, lemonade and energy sodas.
Expansions

Allayah Beamon, founder of A1 Academics K-12 Tutoring Service, said the mobile tutoring center has plans to expand to Atascocita, Cypress, Humble, Katy, Kingwood and New Caney. In November, family- and Latina-owned business Porter Barber and Beauty Shop marked 10 years of service in New Caney. Porter Barber and Beauty Shop offers men’s barber services, including hot towels, shaves and beard designs; women's haircuts, coloring and waxing; and children's haircuts.
