Cinco Vidas Coffee Company, a walk-in mobile coffee trailer based in Porter, marked one year in business Aug. 1.

The inspiration

Owned by husband and wife Brandon and Stephanie Leyva, Cinco Vidas Coffee Company is named for the couple's five children.

"Our name, Cinco Vidas, means 'five lives' in Spanish, representing the heart of our business," the Leyvas wrote in an Aug. 12 email to Community Impact.

The duo began selling flavored whipped honey and home-roasted whole bean coffee at farmers markets in early 2024 before building their own coffee trailer, which opened in August 2024.

On the menu

Cinco Vidas Coffee Company offers a variety of beverages using freshly roasted Mexican whole bean coffee.

"Our beans are roasted weekly to ensure every cup is full of flavor," the Leyvas wrote via email. "We're passionate about creating unique, flavorful drinks for our customers."

In addition to hot and iced coffee and espresso-based beverages, menu offerings include matcha-based beverages, energy drinks, teas, lemonades and baked goods.

The trailer also boasts a "gift shop," which features products from other local small businesses.

"We love supporting and sharing the work of fellow vendors to help promote other small businesses," the Leyvas wrote via email.
