Each of New Caney ISD's high school theater departments will present musicals in January. Porter High School will present "Chicago."

Attendees can support the Hope Cancer Retreat's mission at this 1950s-themed purse bingo event featuring awards for the best costume and best-decorated table. There will be food trucks on-site, and outside food and drinks are allowed.

Head to Final Gravity Brewpub and compete to see whose gumbo reigns supreme. A minimum of one gallon of gumbo is required, and any style of gumbo is welcome. Gumbo entries will be judged on flavor, appearance and overall impression, with the winner earning a cash prize. Final Gravity Brewpub will provide the taster cups, spoons and napkins, while cooks will need to bring their own serving ware.
