The Highlands, a master-planned community in Porter, unveiled a new public art installation on Oct. 23.
The big picture
Created by international street artist Kelsey Montague, the free-standing interactive wing mural is made of aluminum and measures approximately 10 feet wide by 7 feet tall. Per an Oct. 14 news release, the installation features nature-inspired details that reflect the community's national park theme.
Officials noted that visitors are encouraged to stand between the wings for photo opportunities.
Quote of note
"Public art has always been an integral part of how we design our communities," said Jennifer Symons, chief marketing officer of Caldwell Companies. "We hope every photo taken here captures a little of the joy of this place."
