In addition to barbecue and steak cook-offs, this 39th annual event will also include an Anything Bacon Open competition, a Kids 'Que competition, a cornhole tournament and an awards ceremony.

Back Pew Brewing is hosting its first book swap, where attendees can sip beer, enjoy food and swap books. Tickets will be given for each book, in good condition, brought to the event, and attendees can redeem as many books as they bring. Books should be in these categories: mystery, crime drama, science fiction, fantasy, romance, historical fiction, young adult, horror, thriller, nonfiction, biography and children's books. Children's books can only be swapped for other children's books. For the final 30 minutes of the event, attendees can take any leftover books they'd like. The remaining books will be donated to the Friends of the Library Kingwood.
