Halloween Storytime

Children are invited to a Halloween Storytime and trick-or-treat event at the R.B. Tullis Library in New Caney. Attendees can also enjoy Halloween music and crafts, and participate in a costume parade. Drinks and light snacks will be available. The event will be held in the library's large meeting room and is recommended for kids ages 5 and younger. Preregistration is not required, but tickets will be handed out at the Children's Desk 15 minutes before the event begins, and admission is on a first-come, first-served basis.Halloween Cookie Class

Decorate spooky sugar cookies during this class hosted by Dapple Bakery at Back Pew Brewing. Purchase tickets here. Tickets include a seat in the class, cookie decorating supplies, $10 in drink tickets and a box to take cookies home. Divine Dogs food truck will have food for sale during the event.'Frankenstein'

Support young thespians at the Porter High School Spartan Theatre Co.'s performance of "Frankenstein." The play is based on Mary Shelley's classic story, which follows a monster and its creator, and is written by John Grimmett.Indoor Trick-Or-Treat Trail


Lumos is inviting families to celebrate Halloween at the venue's new location in New Caney. The event will feature a trail for trick-or-treaters, a costume contest with prizes, free arcade time for attendees who wear costumes, and deals on food and drinks. The event is hosted in partnership with Kroger.

Pumpkins After Dark

Head to Big Rivers Waterpark & Adventures to see over 10,000 hand-carved pumpkin sculptures, and navigate a monster-themed maze and magical path featuring dinosaurs, dragons and pop culture icons. The event will also include fall-themed treats from local food trucks and live pumpkin carving demonstrations.Dia de los Muertos Program

R.B. Tullis Library will hold a Dia de los Muertos/Day of the Dead celebration, sponsored by the League of Women Voters, for all ages. Attendees can decorate masks and picture frames to display photos of loved ones who have died. A separate craft will be available for the youngest attendees. Pan de Muerto slices will be available for attendees to taste, and altars will be located around the library for guests to place offerings and honor deceased family members. Join St. John of the Cross Catholic Church for an event featuring games, raffle tickets and food.
