Frontier Airlines has added three new nonstop routes out of George Bush Intercontinental Airport, airline officials announced in a Dec. 18 news release.

“There’s a lot to be excited about as the new year approaches—from our expanding network to rolling out our first class experience—and we’re thrilled to offer Houston-area travelers even more affordable flight options to exciting international destinations as we continue to grow,” said Rob Harris, corporate communications manager for Frontier Airlines, in a statement.

Jim Szczesniak, director of aviation for Houston Airports System, said the expanded offerings at IAH should help travel in and out of the Houston area as the 2026 FIFA World Cup nears.


“This new nonstop service to Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras expands Houston’s connections to Latin America and supports our regional economy by making it easier for travelers to reach the fourth-largest city in the U.S.,” Szczesniak said in a statement. “As we prepare to welcome the world for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, choice matters. This service strengthens our connectivity and reinforces Houston’s role as a global city.”

In celebration of the new routes, Frontier Airlines will be offering reduced fares for trips out of IAH to the following destinations:
  • Guatemala: $49
  • El Salvador: $59
  • Honduras: $49
Tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. Eastern time Dec. 30. Sale fares are valid for nonstop travel on select days of the week from Jan. 5-April 13, 2026, per the release.
