The details
According to the news release, the roughly $28,000 project will include repairs to the curbs and the replacement of pavement markings at the intersection of Kingwood and Woodland Hills drives. Work on the project began May 29.
The project is being funded using District E service funds, which are allocated annually to each district to pay for services that aren’t already provided by the city of Houston, officials said in the news release.
A closer look
According to the news release, work crews will be on-site from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday until the project is complete. Weekend working hours will vary.
Motorists should expect increased traffic in the area due to temporary lane closures throughout the project, officials said in the news release.
What’s next
While the project is expected to wrap by June 6, officials said that timeline could be extended if work is delayed due to inclement weather.
