Fourteen candidates for the Humble ISD school board have been whittled down to four.
The three incumbent candidates—Robert Sitton for Position 1, Angela Conrad in Position 3 and Charles Cunningham in Position 4— will return to the school board, according to unofficial early voting results from Harris County. They will be joined by Position 5 candidates Martina Dixon.
Position 1
Incumbent Robert Sitton earned the victory by getting 2,975 votes, compared to 1,979 for Bob Rehak and 183 for Roli Cruz. Sitton has captured nearly 60 percent of the vote, according to unofficial voting results from Harris County.

Position 3
Incumbent Angela Conrad captured 3,216 votes to secure the victory in Position 2. Challenger Chris Herron has received 1,863 votes, according to unofficial early voting results from Harris County.

Position 4
Challenger Abby Whitmire lost to incumbent Charles Cunnungham, who has captured 3,178 votes, compared to 1,975 for Whitmire, according to unofficial voting results from Harris County.
Cunningham said he hopes to continue to work on the regional and state level on the Texas Association of School Boards to lobby for public education during this term.
"I'm happy with the outcome," he said. "And look forward to representing all of Humble ISD. I'm happy and ready to get forward and doing the work that's ahead of us."

Position 5
Challenger Martina Dixon won Position 5 with 2,368 votes. Meanwhile her closest competitor Lohit Datta-Barua has garnered 1,186 votes.

Incumbents take leads in Humble ISD board of trustee races

Fourteen candidates are vying for one of the four spots up for grabs in the Humble ISD board of trustee races. In each of the three races with incumbent candidates, the incumbent is in the lead, according to unofficial early voting results from Harris County.
In Position 4, where five candidates are vying for the potion vacated by Brent Engelage, Martina Dixon has secured 48.9 percent of early votes cast.
Position 1
Incumbent Robert Sitton leads the race for Position 1 after early voting totals with 1,902 votes, compared to 1,183 for Bob Rehak and 112 for Roli Cruz. Sitton has captured nearly 60 percent of the vote so far, according to unofficial early voting results from Harris County.

Position 3
Incumbent Angela Conrad has taken the lead for Position 3 after early voting totals, capturing 2,016 votes. Challenger Chris Herron has received 1,137 votes, according to unofficial early voting results from Harris County.

Challenger Abby Whitmire trails incumbent Charles Cunnungham, who has captured 1,997 votes, compared to 1,202 for Whitmire, according to unofficial early voting results from Harris County.

Through early voting, challenger Martina Dixon leads the way with 1,528. Meanwhile her closest competitor Lohit Datta-Barua has garnered 681 votes.
