The Oaks of Righteousness hosted a 10th anniversary dinner on Nov. 14 to celebrate a decade since the nonprofit opened its first residential home.

Based in Humble, the nonprofit provides a faith-based reentry program to help women who have been released from Texas prisons transition back into society.

According to the organization's website, for every three women who are released from prison, two will re-offend and be sent back to prison within five years. Since 2018 however, none of the graduates of The Oaks of Righteousness program have been incarcerated again.

Today, the nonprofit operates three residential homes and, as of mid-November, nonprofit officials noted every bed was full for the first time.
