Humble Area Assistance Ministries and Humble ISD are partnering to prepare families for the upcoming 2024-25 school year.

What’s happening?

As part of its Back to School Bash, HAAM is collecting donations of school supplies, clothing and food, which can be dropped off Monday-Thursday from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and on Fridays from 8:30 a.m.-noon through July 31. Both located at 1302 First St., Humble, school supplies and clothing donations can be dropped off at HAAM Social Services, while food donations can be dropped off at the HAAM Food Pantry.

The specifics

New items needed include:
  • Backpacks
  • Binders
  • Underwear
  • Socks
  • Sneakers
Needed food items include:
  • One reusable cloth bag
  • One box of cereal
  • One 1 Ib. bag of rice
  • One 1 Ib. bag of beans
  • One can of fruit
  • One jar of peanut butter
  • One can of tomato sauce
  • Two cans of soup
  • Two cans of tuna
  • Two cans of chicken
  • Two boxes of mac and cheese
  • One box of pasta
  • Two cans of green beans
  • Two cans of corn
Food items must be packed in a reusable bag in the appropriate amount. Bags should be tied or secured to prevent items from leaking out and glass jars will not be accepted.
