CareNet, a nonprofit organization that provides support and resources to individuals facing pregnancy-related decisions, recently opened a new center in Humble.

The details

The center offers services, such as pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, educational classes for men and women, material assistance, consultation with nurses, and post-abortion counseling.

CareNet has two additional Greater Houston-area locations: one in Cypress and one in the Champions area.

The organization is funded entirely through donations, said CareNet Executive Director Nanda Kirkpatrick, with 15% coming from churches and the rest from individual donors.

The mission is to offer assistance, education and counseling in a compassionate and nonjudgmental manner to empower individuals facing pregnancy decisions, Kirkpatrick said.
