CYCLE Social Charity Event
This inaugural event hosted by BSP Law will benefit CYCLE, a nonprofit dedicated to improving second-grade literacy at Title I schools across the Greater Houston area. The event will include cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, friendly competition and fundraising.

The city of Houston and Keep Kingwood Green are hosting a recycling event to collect old batteries, oils, paints and antifreeze, or BOPA. Officials noted some items will not be collected, including oil-based paint, household alkaline batteries, hazardous waste, chemicals, tires, business and medical waste, ammunition and smoke detectors.

Children of all ages are invited to Kingwood Branch Library for its weekly Family Story Time event. The free event will feature stories, songs and craft time for kids.

Visit Town Center Park in Kingwood for a free screening of the film “Elf.” The event will feature hot chocolate, coffee, pastries and shopping from local vendors. Additionally, officials from Opera Leggera will be on site throughout the evening to give away free tickets to their upcoming shows.

The Kingwood Chorale is hosting two live performances of George Frideric Handel’s “Messiah.” Conducted by Todd Miller, the performances will be held at First Presbyterian Church and Atascocita Methodist Church.
