There are several turkey trots taking place on Thanksgiving Day across the Greater Houston area.

Pecan Grove Turkey Trot

The Pecan Grove Turkey Trot will feature 5K competitive and noncompetitive races, as well as a 1-mile kids race and a 1-mile adoption awareness race. Proceeds will benefit The Thankful Ones, a nonprofit that supports foster children and their adoptive families.

Addi's Faith Turkey Day 5K & Kids Wishbone 1K

This Thanksgiving morning event will include a 5K for all ages and a 1K option for ages 3-12. Proceeds will benefit Addi's Faith Foundation in their mission to fund pediatric cancer research and assist families as they care for their child with cancer.10th Annual Turkey Trot

The Coles Crossing Turkey Trot is an annual tradition that invites runners and walkers of all ages to participate in a 5K race. The first 600 finishers will receive a commemorative medal to celebrate their achievement.Houston Methodist Turkey Trot

Kinsmen Lutheran Church will host a 5K and 10K run/walk, followed by a Thanksgiving feast open to the community.

YMCA Run thru the Woods

The annual Thanksgiving run supports local nonprofits to strengthen The Woodlands, Spring and Oak Ridge North communities. The event includes a 3-mile run, 5-mile run, 3-mile walk and 1-mile kids' race at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.
