There are several events going on in the Lake Houston area throughout the month of March. This list is not comprehensive.

Revolutionary Experience

Join the Humble Museum for a journey into the world of Texas during the American Revolutionary War. The event will feature 18th-century food and drink samples, food trucks, crafts and a musket firing demonstration.Mardi Gras Festival and Parade

This annual event will kick off with live Zydeco music, vendors, Cajun food and a gumbo cook-off followed by a community parade that starts at 2 p.m.

Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball

Megaton Brewery will be hosting a masquerade ball featuring a night of mystery, live music, beer and themed shopping. Attired is formal to semi-formal.Cook by the Book


Head to the Kingwood Branch Library to participate in a monthly cooking class for adults.

This Creativity Shell sewing camp will feature a week of bird-themed stitch and crochet projects.Rad Race & Rad Fest

This first annual event will include a 5K, 10K, kid’s dash and BMX competition followed by a fun zone and glow party. Proceeds will benefit Kingwood parks and We Run 4 Him Ministries.

Lake Houston Bridge Fest

Support the Lake Houston area community with a run and walk for all ages featuring a 5K and one-mile race as well as a family festival. Net proceeds directly benefit the local community through the support initiatives of the Lake Houston Family YMCA and the Rotary Club of the Lake Houston Area. There will be a parking and shuttle bus at Creekwood Middle School throughout the event. Prices increase March 1.

Kingwood 2025 Turtle Trot 5K


Participate in the Kingwood 2025 Turtle Trot 5K walk and run to benefit the Houston Area Parkinson Society Kingwood to provide resources to local individuals and families living with Parkinson's disease.

Puttin' On the Ritz: 20th Anniversary Gala

Opera Leggera will celebrate its 20th anniversary with this gala featuring dinner, a silent auction, an awards ceremony, live music and dancing. The event will also feature a performance by Opera Leggera with special guest performers and alumni. Proceeds will benefit Opera Leggera's Summer Serenades Music Festival, which will take place July 18-20.

The Ascent 5K

The Phoenix Journey, a nonprofit that supports individuals affected by autoimmune diseases, will host this 5K fun run, walk and roll. The family-friendly event will include music, vendors, giveaways and refreshments.'Prohibition'


The Charles Bender Performing Arts Center will present this musical comedy centered around prohibition, the roaring twenties and the jazz age.Hannah Brol contributed to this report.
